I have a rule when it comes to dessert: if I know I want it, I’m making room for it.
While Mike and I were exploring Venice Beach, I spotted a Ben & Jerry’s earlier in the day. So when we stopped for lunch and both ordered fish and chips, I already knew I wasn’t finishing everything on my plate.
I had plans.
REVIEW AT A GLANCE
Location: California
City: Venice Beach
Craving: Ice Cream
Next Stop: Ice Cream
After lunch, it was finally time for the stop I had been waiting for.
Ben & Jerry’s.
I went with two scoops: Chocolate Therapy and Chocolate Brownie.
Clearly, I wasn’t looking for anything fruity that day.
Mike isn’t much of an ice cream person, so hubby didn’t order anything. This stop was all mine and I was perfectly okay with that.
Was It Worth Saving Room?
Absolutely.
I’m glad I didn’t fill up at lunch because those two scoops were exactly what I wanted after spending the day walking around Venice Beach.
Sometimes dessert doesn’t need to be complicated. Give me chocolate, more chocolate and enough room to enjoy it, and I’m happy.
Would I stop for Ben & Jerry’s again?
Yes.
And I’d still save room for it.
