Universal Studios Bubba Gump

This month we’re going to Universal Studios!!! It’s been a few years since we’ve been there (Harry Potter Wizarding World had just opened up). This time Jurassic World Ride is open and we’re going! Before we get to the food let’s give you the basics.

Universal Studios has a special in the summer that is called “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” which I like to say is comparable to Disney’s Fireworks at night. It’s a 15-20 min show that Universal Studios performs on the Hogwarts Castle. There are 32-3 showings each night until August 11th (another reason for going).

When you purchase your ticket online you have the option to get into the park 30 minutes early to the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. Of course we’re going early to get to the Castle Ride. Since there is a limited amount of people they let in we got their early to wait. I only food place open at 7 am was Starbucks on the City Walk. I don’t know about you but I planned out ALL the food I was going to eat and sorry Starbucks didn’t make the cut. Unfortunately I was STARVING so I got a Yogurt and Passion Ice Tea. It was gross and after 3 bits I tossed it out (Hubby’s holding it in the background).

Soaking up the Wizarding World and searching for a place to eat was hard. We got in the theme park at 8:30 am and none of the food places open until 10 am!

Off the Studio Tours for an hour gave enough of a distraction to where the food places where finally open. Hubby wanted to eat at Bubba Gumb’s so we left the theme park and walked to get some lunch.

Bubba Gumb’s had just opened up and we were the second couple in there. This makes it nice because there is no excuse for slow service. If you know anything about my hubby you know he’s a chatter box. He’ll talk to anyone. I’m going on 7 hours being up and I want to eat plain and simple. Hubby is talking to the waiter and I just want to order some food.

I ended up ordering a Texas Chicken Sandwich. It’s Cajun Grilled Chicken, guacamole, Pepper jack cheese, bacon and chili ancho mayo. It was so good that I swear I ate it all in 5 minutes.

Hubby ordered Shrimper’s Heaven. It came with Hand breaded Coconut Shrimp, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Crispy Golden Shrimp and Tempura Shrimp. Served with 3 Dippin’ Sauces, Tangy Asian, Cajun Marmalade and Zesty Cocktail.
