I purchased a new camera over Black Friday weekend after spending weeks researching and shopping around. I was debating between two different cameras, but in the end, I went with the Canon M50. I originally bought it for work and couldn’t wait to start playing around with it.
I had been practicing food photography and creating flat lays when one day, hubby and I were sitting at the table eating lunch. I decided to pull out my new camera and take a few photos of our food.
It was so much fun.
On the ride home, I started thinking about all the different places Mike and I go out to eat. What if we started taking pictures of our food and sharing our experiences at the restaurants we visited?
So, I asked hubby if he’d be interested in doing restaurant reviews with me.
Surprisingly, Mike said yes!
And that’s how Couples Dining Out began.
What started with a new camera turned into something we could do together. We could find new places to eat, try different foods, take pictures of everything we ordered, and share our experiences with other couples looking for their next place to eat.
We’re Mike and Jen, a hubby and wife who love going out to eat together. We’re not professional food critics. We’re just sharing our real experiences, what we ordered, what we liked (and sometimes didn’t like), and whether we’d go back.
Sometimes you’ll hear from me, and sometimes you’ll hear from Mike (probably more often from Mike)! We each have our own tastes and our own way of telling you about a restaurant, so don’t expect us to always agree.
That’s part of the fun.
Welcome to Couples Dining Out. We hope you’ll find a few places you’ll want to try together.

Jen
Jen is one half of Couples Dining Out. She loves pasta, a great salad, and believes dessert should be eaten first because why risk running out of room? She loves trying new places with Mike, but if something looks good on her plate, order your own. She’s not sharing.
