Red Apple Cafe

Eating at the Red Apple Cafe for Breakfast.

My wife and I have been hearing good things about Red Apple Cafe so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we noticed there were quite a lot of people waiting, this is a good sign so far. We parked and went inside, placed our names on the wait list and sat down. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so we said whichever opens up first. The wait was about 10 minutes and we were seated inside. The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The decor is homey, but the seating is a bit tight.

Now for the food part.

We ordered our meals, the wife ordered Apple Pie French Toast. The French Toast is just as it sounds, apple pie filling on top of two giant french toast topped with whip cream and cinnamon. The french toast had a thin layer of egg poured on the top of each toast. When the food came it was so hot the whip cream was melting. The wife doesn’t add butter or syrup to her food because of that the apple pie topping was not as flavorful as she’d hoped it would be.

I ordered the Works Omelet.  My omelet had bacon, sausage, onions, tomato,  and cheese with a side of country potatoes and toast. I don’t like tomatoes in my eggs so I wish I asked for no tomatoes.

Along with our meal The Wife had water and lemon tea, I ordered coffee.

Both dishes were outstanding and the portions are huge. We both couldn’t finish and had to ask for a to go container. This is a first for me, as I usually can finish my meals.

We had a great experience and we plan on going back for lunch sometime.
