Lunch Time At Yardhouse

Taking Hubby back to the Yard House for lunch.

It has been over three years since we last went to the Yard House. When we did go, it was for dinner and it was in a huge group. I was tired from working all day and just wanted to go home. I don’t remember much about the place or the food. A couple years ago the place where I worked at order lunch for everyone from the Yard House. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Bisque. It was amazing!

Fast forward to our monthly date day. We were trying to decide where to eat lunch. We wanted to go somewhere we haven’t been in awhile. The Yard House popped in my head. We arrived a little after 1 pm and there was no wait. We asked to sit in a booth and they we placed next to a window. It was the perfect spot. We could see down the walkway and everyone walking around enjoying the day. It was like being in a romantic movie.

Our service Valerie came over, took our drink order. I have this thing about drinks and eating. I’m not sure when it started but I don’t like the flavors of mixing drinks with my meal. I always order water. When I do order a drink I have to drink it before I start eating or wait until I’m done eating. Strange, I know but there it is. Hubby order a the House Honey Blonde Beer.

Hubby ordered the Pepper Jack Burger (roasted poblano pepper, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo) and onion rings. It was made just the way he likes it (Hubby likes his meat well done).

I picked off the Lunch Specials, Two Sliders with Tomato Bisque. As I said before that I love this Bisque. After all this time the Tomato Bisque was just as delicious as I remembered it being.

My sliders were perfect. The tomatoes, pickles and arugula was put on the side.

We couldn't leave without dessert! Well, me...

I was too full for dessert but I have a sweet tooth and I know there is no sweets at the house so I order the Mini Trio Sampler Dessert. It comes with Peach Apple Cobbler with Caramel Ice Cream, Cheesecake Brûlée, Chocolate Soufflé Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. This was just the right combo for us because Hubby loves cobblers and cheesecakes and I love chocolate.

They were all so good. I definitely would recommend to get this sampler. The are sampler size but we still didn’t finish eating them all. I am not a cheesecake lover but it was good.

Have you eaten there before? We’d love to hear about your experience at the Yard House.
