A long time coming and well worth the wait.
I’ve passed by this place for several years, but never stopped to try it. Always in a rush. When I did have time, it was on a weekend, and to my dismay, they are closed on weekends. Time passes on and still no hot dogs for me from here.
Well, after a quick meeting my wife and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch. I have been craving a good hotdog lately and that’s when the light above my head glowed, I remembered this place. So off we went. Drove into the parking, where they have outdoor seating (no indoor) but it’s covered so you won’t get rained on, or feel the power of the sun cooking you.
I talked to the guy letting him know how long I have been trying to come here to eat and finally made it. I ordered a Chicago classic, I was not disappointed. It brought back memories from when I was first introduced to the Chicago dog.
My wife ordered the Nachos and man, they didn’t stand a chance! They were gone before I could even think about asking for one, lol. The place is small but has a big flavor.
So I say to you if you are ever craving a good hotdog, Stop on by Brown Bears, but make sure it’s Monday thru Friday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm Sat 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Located on the corner of Herndon and Fresno, next to Chili’s. Enjoy!
